The Sunflower Strider's Team goal will be to collectively raise $100,000 which will directly go towards funding one 2 year grant to an individual/organization whom is looking for an inovative treatment to help CURE, specifically, pediatric high grade gliomas. All funds raised will go directly to the Prayers From Maria Children's Glioma Cancer Foundation to award funds through the grant application process as overseen by the foundation’s medical advisory board.

On December 5, 2009 we as a team will stride to the finish of the St. Jude Memphis Marathon in honor of all children, because of this deadly form of cancer, who haven't had the opportunity to experience life as a marathon http://www.stjudemarathon.org/

Currently, we are looking for individuals interested in joining our team as a runner or as a fundraiser supporting our team goals and cheering on our runners. Fundraising and race preparation will begin in late summer and continue through race day. Come help us stride to find a cure so all children can experience life as a marathon.
